I absolutly love the tracks I already own and
have a few good ideas of my own ! I have a
couple ( or more ) suggestions:Night Time Safari ;
a lush wind rustling the bushes surrounding your camp, monkeys
chittering in the distace, frogs croaking softly in the under growth,
birds quietly chirping and twittering seemingly close , and a stream
just to your right .Another suggestion is :Playful Backyard ; loud birds
chirping from the trees, a gentle breeze surrounding you , the distant
sound of kids talking , yelling, and screaming gleefuly while someone
bounces a basket ball just outside the fence.

Love the app. I was just wondering when more sounds might be coming out?
Ever thought of recording at Yellowstone I'd love to hear the sounds of the park The geysers and the animal. Also I like Marc's idea of being able to create a playlist.

I just found naturespace this weekend and have been completely impressed with what I have heard so far. Beneath the Dreaming Trees is truly amazing - to hear the wind whipping all around you and be at peace is a total ZEN moment. I like INFINITE SHORELINE too, although I feel the waves are very loud so I keep the volume down on this one.
These are not your usual "sound soother" type experiences - the sounds literally encircle you in 3D. You can tell they are actual recordings of really off the path places, not just some canned noise. I am truly impressed so far. I am looking forward to buying and enjoying more!
By the way - a few suggestions for future sound scapes:

NEW ENGLAND HARBOR (Falmouth, MA, Martha's Vineyard (Edgartown) MA, Ventura Harbor, CA) - the sound of wave ripples lapping on the side of boats/pier, with clang-clink-clang of the mast rope in a slight wind, distant foghorn, creaking dock, a little rain? Ahhhhh....

DISTANT SEASIDE PIER (Santa Cruz, CA or Ocean City, NJ, Santa Monica, CA, Fisherman's Warf, CA, etc)- the sound of the ocean on one side and the distant sound of a midway, kids playing on the pier behind you, seagulls - I can smell the kettle corn and french fries now.

Just a few ideas!

Hi,

I have downloaded your app a few days ago, immediately bought several tracks inapp and love it. I have already recommended it to several friends.
I have, though, two suggestions.
a) It would be great to have bundles as inapp purchases - such as the thunderstorm one; also a bundle with all available tracks might be cool; and lastly something like a subscription, where one gets automatic acces to the latest tracks but has to pay a yearly fee.
b) It would be amazing if the user was able to create "programs" of tracks. Let's say he want to fall asleep with thunder and then after 1 hour the app should play rain for a while and finally when it comes to the morning hours it would then play some birds and sounds that we have at dawn. This feature could be made available as an inapp purchase.... I guess that would make the app even better and increase the sale....

Best
Marc

ps.: can i go in the jungle for you to record some sounds?

I realize it's subjective, but I'd love if you could expand the in-app categories to include new categories like:

For drifting to sleep
Masking other sounds
Great on speakers
To enhance activity
Peaceful
Intriguing

You get the idea. Some tracks would fit in multiple categories, and I think that's great. It would just present users with a different way to filter the options without having to make notes from the descriptions and reviews.

Thanks for such an excellent product. The user reviews have been a tremendous help as I consider my purchase options.

Hi all, thanks for the posts. Gray and Xandre, we are all about getting cave sounds, but it has not been easy, primarily because of this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-nose_syndrome

but we are still trying. As far as the other suggestions go, we have done many of these recordings, but in the end, unless there is a real 3-D soundfield to record, it just ends up sounding like a sound effects library, which there is plenty of in the world already. In order to get a holographic "being-there experience", sound needs to come from all over at multiple distances. One of our fundamental principles of recording involves achieving a perfect balance of near-field, mid-field, and far-field sounds. When this balance is present, the experience transcends being a "sounds like" experience into a "being there" experience. You could say it is a prime directive of ours, and it's one reason why Naturespace is different from anything else.

I'm glad someone else mentioned water droplets in a cave. I was thinking about that the other night listening to a subterranean journey program over on HoS. It made me yearn for the sound of echoing water drops into an underground lake/pond in a great cavern *without* the suspenseful and dramatic ambient music. And I thought to myself, "If only Naturespace had something like this..."

Suggestion: how about rain but recorded from inside a log cabin? You could hear the rain on the roof and also hitting against the window panes. Other sounds might be a log fire burning, or the wind whistling through a crack somewhere. OK maybe not the most relaxing sound scape idea :)

How about rain recorded from a few meters into a cave? Caves would have some nice acoustic properties, I would think?

Just an idea!

Thanks to all above who posted their own reviews/perspectives on the tracks. I have been enjoying picking and buying new tracks by myself, but it's great to hear other people's descriptions (convinced me to buy Ice Wind just now).

Hope to see more reviews, and thanks to the Naturespace people for such a wonderful app!

For the record I love Soft Forest Rain and Thor!

My FAVORITE tracks are:
1.) Astral Premonition
Beautiful hypnotic drumming that at first listen had me thinking, "How am I suppose to fall asleep to this?" My mind created images of some type of shamanic ceremony in the middle of a dark jungle that I'm secretly witnessing... or am I? Fire, masks, dance and I'm now in the middle of it all. Some time during the track the drumming softens and it becomes really calm and peaceful ... after that.... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Awesome track... luv it!

2.) Peyote
For the same reasons listed above.

3.) Loki
First of all, all of the Thunderstorm tracks are wonderful to listen to. I dig the hollow atmosphere that Loki creates. The sound is so clean that I can smell the rain and feel the weather. Sometimes I let it play while I'm reading, or just let my imagination run wild with it ... until I fall asleep.

3b.) Thor 3c). Aegir

4.) The Cloud Forest
Rain and Birds. I think the description for this track is dead on.
I don't use it for sleep. I just place myself in the environment and just experience whatever imagery that come to mind.

5.) Eternal Reign
Simply because it sounds realistic.

6.) Newton Under The Tree

7.) Interrogation
I rarely listen to this one, but it's so dope that I have to keep it in my top 10 anyway.

8.) Morning Pathway
Original. I just wish the walker would slow down sometimes to observe the birds or to take notice of a peculiar insect. (or trip on a rock ...haha)

9.) Exoplanet

10. Walk on the Beach
I don't listen to this one much either but it's so realistic and creative that I have to include it.

All of the Ocean tracks are good but I feel like I'm going to have a dream about drowning if I listen to them to help me sleep.
